Little Steps To Bright Futures Childcare and Preschool offers child care services in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Our teachers create customized age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that develop cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills. They also observe, guide and assess the progress of each child.
Children learn through fun and challenging activities. Our lesson plans are designed to give children choices that focus on areas of their interest, which encourage them to be creative, self-confident, and independent, allowing them to learn at their own pace. We strive to include enrichment activities that extend our student's knowledge and understanding of the world outside the classroom.
We also work together with parents and keep them involved in their child’s early education. Parents can give teachers an insight into a child’s habits, needs, and learning styles creating a connection between home and school and giving the child a sense of security.
Health & Safety
Our school believes that the health and safety of children is of paramount importance. We make our facility a safe and healthy place for children, parents, staff, and volunteers.
We make every effort for teachers in each classroom to have current First Aid and CPR certification and be familiar with proper medical emergency procedures. Each classroom strives to provide a safe environment by conducting safety audits, monthly emergency storm/fire drills, and teaching children safety rules.
If a child does experience an injury, an accident report will be completed by the staff and signed by the parent/guardian. In spite of our efforts, an emergency may arise. For this reason, QCC requires that parents/guardians complete emergency contact information and sign a release for emergency medical treatment.
